Expanded School Mental Health
Coalition Key Elements Background Paper
Beginning in 2013, founding members of the Coalition met to create a coalition that would assist schools by providing a framework for establishing expanded school mental health programs in Wisconsin communities. This paper describes the scope and vision of the Coalition’s efforts. To the school continuum of universal education, prevention programs, early intervention, and individualized services, expanded school mental health adds the element of clinical therapy and consultation for students with more complex mental health challenges.
